As sex can be very good and pleasurable, too, it
requires lots of cautions and responsibilities by people. Today, to have
sex is synonym of preservatives and that must be hardly followed, and if
it is not, there are millions of different kinds of consequences that might
happen. Unwanted pregnancy, HIV, and a huge number of sexually
transmitted diseases are constantly infecting more and more people around the
whole world.
A disease known by three letters (and is not the HIV) is
becoming very popular, these days. It is the HPV (Human Papilloma Virus)
and it is estimated that more than 80% of the population is infected with one of
the more than 100 different types of it. From these 100 types, about 30 are
sexually transmitted.
This sexual disease can be spread trough vaginal, oral
and anal sex, and sometimes are hard to make a diagnosis. The
HPV's that lead symptoms generally develop warts in the vulva, cervix,
anus and penis. They look like mini cauliflower florets, flesh-colored, moist
and soft. There are millions of people who are infected by some kind of
HPV and don't even know it, because some of them, act inside the body,
don't leaving any external marks.
There are the "low risk" HPV and the "high risk"
HPV. Those who are infected by the "low risk" will not experience any
kind of more severe complications, besides the warts, that can be treated. The
"high risk" HPV can develop more serious things like vulva, anal and
penis cancer.
In spite of HPV do not have cure, it must be treated. To
visit a specialist is required, so he can values if it is necessary to prescribe
medications or burn the warts off. To prevent from these viruses is not an easy
task, indeed. It is necessary to avoid at all costs, having sex without
protection. Although preservatives are not 100% efficient while dealing with
HPV's, it helps if there are no warts at all. If there is presence of
warts, sex abstinence is required, until they can be removed.
